Spring is here (FINALLY!), and I couldn't be more excited about it. So excited that today I went out and took cuttings from several blooming plants that grow beside our road. (They belong to the general public I think.)
Other than a willow tree, I have no idea what they are. I think someone told me the yellow flower might be forsythia? Just googled it and that looks right.
Whatever they are, they're pretty. And the little arrangement on my dining room table (in an assortment of jars and bottles) is cheery and joyful. And best of all, completely free!
Anyway, just wanted to share my spring happiness with you. May you see beauty in unexpected places. (Like a ditch on the side of a Chinese highway...)

GORGEOUS!
Thank you for sharing a piece of the promise of Spring!
It's been a rainy, grey week in Hong Kong!
Love & Blessings,

Yep... looks like SPRING to me!! Oh how I hope the trees are in bloom when we FINALLY get to travel! I love your table arrangement. You could even tie a ribbon or a strip of scrap fabric around the mouth of the jar for some added pizazz! ;) I've seen a lot of 'fake' forsynthia plants in the stores... but they don't compare to the beauty of the real thing.
Happy Spring!!

Beautiful...
It looks like forsythia. When we lived in Germany, we used them for Easter trees! Beautiful sign of Spring.
I love how spring reminds me every year that we are all new and beautiful in Christ! It's so wonderful to see things blooming again.
We always had a forsythia bush growing in our back yard too while growing up ... and I see them all abloom once again here in Iowa. I'm so happy to know that you have these beautiful flowers to brighten your day there! Those unexpected treasures are the most beautiful gifts :-)
And we are praying that you all are safe as we just got word of the earthquake that hit China today. Our prayers are also with those who are amidst the devastation--oh my.
Blessings
valerie
