Deck the Halls

With Thanksgiving behind us, Christmas preparations have gone into full swing. We have five Christmas trees in the foster home, along with loads of other decorations -- including stockings on everyone's bedroom windows! Thanksgiving to Chinese New Year is an especially festive time of the year at the foster home, as we celebrate (and decorate for!) all the holidays.

We want the children to feel the same warmth and love that they'll someday know in their families right now. Part of that comes through holiday traditions. The foster home is their only home right now, and we do all that we can to make it a special place to be during the Christmas season.

Cheryl, Olivia, and Julia work on the tree. I'm not sure who is behind the tree!

Cheryl works hard to put something high on the tree!

Everyone sits patiently and admires their work.

Next year, Leah, you'll be home for Christmas!

Emily carefully strings the beads around the tree.
