Accidental Haircut

Since I'm still ordered to stay at home, I really have nothing interesting to post.  But, our friend Jill does, since she is here visiting us.  So, you should check out her blog, Peeptoe Pumps and Pearls, to see what the kids are up to these days.

I guess it isn't entirely true that I haven't had anything interesting happen.  A couple of days ago, I got an accidental haircut.  I took Jill to get something called a dry wash, which is a really amazing head massage that a friend of ours who owns a little salon does.  She gives an awesome head massage, but not the best haircut.  I had one before with her... it isn't that it is that bad; it is just very Chinese style.  Which means somewhat choppy.  I prefer my hair to be cut in even lines, so I wasn't totally thrilled with the last haircut.

Anyway, I was in SORE need of a haircut, but I'd just been putting it off because I didn't want to mess with it.  After she gave me the dry wash, she announced that I needed a haircut.  Before I knew what to say, she reached for her scissors and told me she'd take just a little off.  What could I say?  Her friendship is worth more to me than a good haircut, so I let her go for it.  It turned into a lot off and not a little, as she worked to make it straight.  So now my hair is about 3 inches shorter!  I had a friend take off some of the rough edges, and now that it is even, I actually sort of like it!  So, all in all, it was a good thing... even if I didn't mean to get a haircut.
