How to Help

Help Us
We're able to do this work because some people have come forward and offered to help sponsor our salaries. All foreign workers at the foster home are unpaid. Though we haven't actively raised support for ourselves, we thankfully accept when someone feels led to help us.

Both ongoing and one-time contributions are welcome and needed. The easiest way to contribute to our work is to click the "Donate" button, which allows you to make a donation via PayPal. Donations made using this method are tax-deductible, as they are processed by Legacy Charities, a registered 501c3 charity in the USA.

While PayPal donations are perhaps easiest, we can avoid paying the PayPal fee if you mail a check to the following address:

New Day Charities
P.O. Box 311671
New Braunfels, TX 78131-1671

Make the check payable to New Day Charities and include a note saying that the donation is for Jacob and Carrie. The donation will also be tax-deductible.

If you do not itemize your taxes and therefore do not need the donation to be tax-deductible, please contact us for an alternative donation method. Due to the fact that donations processed through Legacy Charities are subject to a self-employment income tax, we are able to use more of your funds if contributions are sent directly to us. Please e-mail us for more information on alternative methods of donating, if you don't need the tax receipt.

Finally, we want to be fully transparent with our donors. We believe it is important to both remain accountable to our supporters and to help potential donors make informed decisions based on our needs. Therefore, if you would like to see a copy of our budget, please e-mail us.

Help the Foster Home
Our Foster Home is entirely supported by donations. All donations are tax-deductible if made in the USA or Hong Kong. You can choose to support the foster home in a variety of different ways:
  • Child Care Fund
  • Formula Project
  • Medical Fund
  • Supply Donations
  • Volunteer
Want to know more information? E-mail us, and I'll answer any questions you might have and send you the link to our Foster Home's website. (I don't post the name on our blog.) You can learn more about the various ways to help on the foster home's website, and even make an online donation if you want.

Hi Jacob and Carrie,
I am not able to email you through your contact link - it keeps trying to set up Microsoft Outlook and blowing up. When I try to see the properties, it looks like junk. Anyway, I originally found your blog through Jeanette (Carrie was formerly their adoption agency's family advocate) so I emailed her to forward you my email address or to have her send me your email address. Blessings, Wendy
