I'm not sure where the last few weeks have gone. So much has been happening; so much needs to be written and recorded before it is forgotten... Normal stuff happens to make us "busy" -- visitors coming and going, projects that need to be completed, etc. But then in the midst of that, profound things happen as well -- and sometimes I fear I am moving too quickly and almost miss them! Hearing a friend's testimony and realizing that it is really only love that matters. Seeing a foster mom's love for her daughter and the wisdom and beauty in her eyes. Seeing children recover from things they "shouldn't" recover from. It is so amazing, and I need to take some time to slow down and record it all. Hopefully this post will be the beginning of more posts to come. I'll try to get back to blogging very soon.
In the meantime, I leave you with this picture. I took it when I was in another city last month, visiting a child in our formula projects. It is a little girl in our project with her foster grandma. I find it to be breathtakingly beautiful, but perhaps that is because I know the story behind it... yet another post that needs to be written.

I think I've seen that girl before... :)

Beautiful! I have so much respect for foster parents & grandparents. They give so freely knowing the pain they will endure when those children leave to join their forever families. They are true inspirations!
I am amazed & humbled at the love & how present God is in the details.
