Caroline wanted "atmosphere" for her birthday lunch, so our normal Sunday crew went to this really fun area of town with lots of outdoor restaurants. It was a little bit of a splurge, but it was fun. Summer has definitely arrived in our part of the world, and it is hot and humid. Though, I'm not really complaining... it is SOOOO much better than winter.

That area looks positively lovely...I didn't know that existed there! But, I think it further reinforces the fact that if we ever again go to Beijing, we will go in the summer not the winter.
