So, on the other end of the emotional spectrum are two of our little kiddos -- Kerstin and Elijah. Both of them will be having heart surgeries tomorrow. Kerstin's, in particular, is quite serious. In the words of our director, "We need a miracle for her to make it through." Even though it is risky, she's too weak to wait for surgery. Please pray for her. This is the little girl I mentioned in my last post -- blue and out of breath.
In totally unrelated news... my aunt is visiting us right now. Tomorrow we leave for a short trip to Xi'an. It's been fun having her here; we've taken her to see all there is to see, so we're all worn out. Hence the lack of blogging. I do really want to write Part II to my last post, but it will have to wait until next week when I have more time.
Until then... please be praying for our kiddos. Thanks for journeying with us.

Praying for your two heart babies. May God heal them completely!!
We will be praying for your two heart babies. And we will pray for peace and comfort for y'all as well.
I encourage you to search Godtube.com (if you can access it) for Beth Guckenberger. LIsten to all 3 if you can but especially when she reads an excerpt from her book (Reckless Faith) at the end of "Joel's Story". She has walked a similar road for years working with orphans in Monterrey Mexico.
Much prayer for your little ones. May God simply show Himself to be huge this week!
We are praying! Please let us know how they do! Thank you for sharing.
We are so happy for the little ones who met their families, and praying for the ones who are waiting.
Have a great trip to Xi'an!

Praying for the two little ones who face surgery, and all the children waiting for their forever families...
Your blog is a blessing and an encouragement to me and my husband!
Kerstin and Elijah have been on my heart constantly since I read your post. Praying that our God, the great physician, will heal them and bring comfort to the staff.

Hi Carrie. I believe I met you last week at your foster home just outside Beijing. I was part of the SHOES group that came to tour. I just thought it was nifty you had a blog and I stumbled over it.
Hugs!
