Springtime is the Best Time

So I have to say that where we live in the springtime is an incredible improvement over where we live in the winter time. It is the same place, but a fresh coat of green life helps immensely. It is a sight for sore eyes.
Cute little lambs... looking for food with their shepherd. Sometimes you'll see a motorcycle riding through the middle. The juxtaposition of two "worlds" still surprises me... :)

Farming by hand...

Building a new bridge over the canal.

This is for my sister-in-law Jane, especially. This is such a cute puppy!! He's at the noodle restaurant, and he hangs around waiting for tidbits. However, I also saw him poking around the sewage ditch, so I refrain from petting.

So, in a picture this is kinda pretty... it is the drainage ditch on the side of the road; or as we affectionately call it, the Canal. It sounds much more romantic that way. The sun is setting on the water. Be glad pictures can't convey smells. :)

Thanks for the puppy picture. He is super cute! I will imagine him eating lots of noodles and not eating out of the ditch. Last night I had a craving for fry bread that would not go away.
I'm glad your little village is looking better. It truly is. But, not as gorgeous as the pictures of Oregan. Those are truly beautiful. I'm wishing we had been able to go!

Carrie,

In respect for their farming, you probably should refrain from calling this a "drainage ditch"! Yes, I am sure quite a lot of sewage gets into this "ditch", but the primary purpose is for irrigation.

We love and miss you, Dad.
